What Window Tint Costs in Georgetown, TX

· 5 min read

A Toyota Camry with full-car ceramic tint outside the shop

The short answer

A full car in Georgetown, TX runs $249 in 3M Color Stable, $649 in 3M Ceramic IR, and $899 in 3M Crystalline, at the sedan baseline. Front two windows only start at $129. What moves the number after that is vehicle size — a three-row SUV or a minivan carries more glass than a sedan — plus extras like a windshield strip, a sunroof, or stripping old film first. Darkness never changes the price: the same film costs the same whether you run 5% or 70%.

The four prices, plainly#

Every shop quotes differently, so here is ours in full. These are full-car prices at the sedan baseline — front doors, back sides and rear glass.

Color Stable3M Color Stable Series$249
Ceramic IR3M Ceramic IR Series$649
Crystalline3M Crystalline Series$899

Front two windows only start at $129 in Color Stable. That's the common job for a truck or SUV that already came with dark glass behind the front doors from the factory.

What actually changes the number#

  • Vehicle size, but only where there's rear glass. Two front door windows are the same job on a Miata and a Sienna, so front-two pricing is flat. A three-row SUV or a minivan carries a size adder on the full-car and rear packages, because there is genuinely more glass.
  • A windshield strip — the legal band across the top, above the AS-1 line.
  • A sunroof or panoramic roof, which is its own panel of glass.
  • Stripping old film first. New film will not bond over old film, so it has to come off, and that's labour before we start.

Is ceramic worth the jump?#

It depends on where the car sits. On total solar energy the two are almost level at 35% — 57% for Color Stable against 58% for Ceramic IR. On infrared, the radiant part you feel on your arm, it's 32% against 85%. If the car lives in a garage and you want the look, Color Stable is honest money. If it sits out at the Square, at Wolf Ranch or in a work lot all day through a Texas summer, that infrared gap is what changes how the car feels when you get in.

Why do some Georgetown shops advertise $99 window tint?

That's almost always dyed film on two front windows, not a full car. Dyed film is what turns purple and bubbles after a few Texas summers, which is why we don't sell it — we make a living removing it. Compare like for like: ask whether the price is a full car, which film, and whether the warranty covers purpling.

Do you charge more for a Tesla?

Not for the side glass. A Model 3 or Model Y prices like any other sedan or crossover. The glass roof is a separate panel and is priced as the sunroof add-on if you want it done.
