Where bad removal shows up
The defroster grid is printed on the inside of your rear glass, right where the film sits. A razor takes those lines off with the tint and there is no putting them back. We work along the grid, never across it.

Before you book
Can old tint come off without damaging the glass?
Yes, when it's steamed off instead of razored. Heat softens the adhesive so the film lifts in sheets and the glass underneath is untouched. The slow part is the glue left behind, not the film itself.
What about the defroster lines on my rear window?
Rear glass is the one bad removal ruins. The defroster grid is printed on the inside surface, right where the film sits, and a blade takes those lines off with the tint. There's no putting them back. We steam rear glass and work along the grid, never across it.
How long does removal take?
Most cars are a half-day on their own and a full day if we're re-tinting the same visit. Age decides it more than window count. Ten-year-old dyed film fights harder than film from last year.
What does removal cost?
It's quoted once we've seen the film, because a peeling corner and a baked-on purple rear window aren't the same job. Book the free removal consultation on our calendar — bring the car by, we look at the glass, you get a number, and there's no charge for the look. Removal costs less when we're putting new film on the same day: $129 on a full car, $89 rear only, $49 front two, on top of the tint job.
